In 2002 I thought it was a good idea to try and trace my family ancestry.  I thought there was no better place to start than with my Grandmother Kitty Herbert (nee Gander) always known as Molly,
Researching the Gander family, I have also come across the Betteridge's, Howse's,  Attfiled's, Bailey's Wooller's to name but a few.
Once I had traced the Ganders's back to 1703, I attempted to research my grandfathers family, the Herbert's.  It has taken me a very long time to find all the information I have, and lots of help along the way.
Names branching off the Herbert tree are Bailey and Hawkins so far.  It is also rumoured that the Bailey's are descended from Sir John Hawkins, but currently have no evidence of this.
