GRANDAD'S POEM

We have all known Grandad since we were small
He was caring and kind and looked after us all
He was married to Nan almost 67 years
So please bear with us while we shed these tears
We want you to know you are here in our hearts
You shared in our lives right from the start
8 times over you're a Great Grandad
All your Great Grandchildren are so very sad
We want you to be happy wherever you are
Each night at bedtime we'll look up at the stars
Close your eyes Grandad we'll leave you to sleep
And all of our memories are with us for keeps
My heart is full of sadness and love
I know you're looking down on us from way up above
We know you are with us every step of the way
But we will never forget that very sad day
