A tribute to my nanny Molly (Kitty Norah Nellie Herbert- nee Gander) 28/7/1914 - 21/3/2007
A beautiful lady with a beautiful smile
She would often sit and chat for a while
She loved her family with tremendous pride
And was happiest with her great grandchildren by her side.
I hope she is happier, back with her man
Where she belongs, holding Grandads hand
It wont be the same without you here
My beautiful Nannie, I hold very dear.
All of our memories are here in my heart
Ill miss you forever, now we're apart
And all these loved ones you have left behind
Will remember you for being caring and kind
Wherever you are, I hope you're at peace
While we all here, are dealing with grief
We love you Nannie, we need you to know
And ever so sad that you had to go
But we understand you needed to be
Alongside Grandad, obviously
I'm sure that one day, we'll all meet again,
Until that time, our lives won't be the same.
One thing's for certain, I'll make you a promise
We'll look after Mum, so please do not worry
Goodbye Nannie, lay down and sleep
We'll never forget you, our memories are for keeps
